#mmm is a performance lecture that included projected video of ‘movement meditation memorials’ and a reading of ‘embodied eulogies’. this private somatic practice turned trembling archive (Kristin Juarez) is a grief release practice to honor each patient who dies under my care as a Registered Nurse. mmm is at once a tool for recovering from the labor of facilitating patient pathways towards death and dying as it is an embodied expression of a healer’s body carrying the memories of past bodies forward. The practice is a disentanglement, somatic reset, and eulogy.
this performance lecture has been presented at Movement Research Festival, Bowdoin College, Wesleyan University and The Getty Research Institute in it’s Dancers On Film program.
